Pizza Flyer: Deals, Coupons and Door Hangers

Pizza is a repeat-order food, so a pizza flyer is less about introducing yourself and more about being the first number someone thinks of on a Friday night. It lives on a fridge, in a drawer or on a counter, which means a flyer that earns a spot there can keep working for months.

The best pizza flyers are bold and deal-led, with a clear price and an easy way to order.

Build around a deal

Pizza customers compare on value, so put a concrete deal at the center. A large pizza and a side for a set price, a family bundle, a two for one on weeknights, or a lunch slice and drink combo all work. Show the price in large type and make the order method just as obvious. Offer terms and end dates belong in a smaller line.

Headline ideas

Keep pizza headlines short and appetizing.

  • Friday night, sorted.
  • Hot, fresh and at your door.
  • One large. Two toppings. One price.
  • Feed the family for one price.
  • The slice you have been looking for.

Use a coupon strip

A tear-off or cut-out coupon at the bottom turns a flyer into something people keep and bring back. Add a simple code or a line like show this flyer, so you can see which neighborhoods respond. Put an end date on it, and a limit of one per order.

Sizes and formats

For mailboxes and doorknobs, a door hanger, commonly around 4.25 by 11 inches, is the classic format. For counters and bag stuffers, use 5.5 by 8.5 inches. A 4 by 6 inch postcard works for a mailer. Pair print with a 1080 by 1350 pixel social post that shows the deal and a hero photo of the pie.

Photograph the pie honestly

Use a real photo of the pizza you sell, shot from above with the cheese and toppings clearly visible. A picture of a pizza loaded with toppings you do not offer causes disappointment on the doorstep.

Where to distribute

Walk the delivery radius and hang door hangers on homes and apartment doors, where legal and permitted. Put flyers in every box and bag. Work with schools, youth leagues and local clubs on a night where a share of sales supports them, and give the flyer to their families. Game days and holidays are a good moment for a push.

Pizza flyer checklist

  • Deal price in large type.
  • Phone number and ordering link.
  • Delivery area and hours.
  • Coupon with an end date.
  • Real pizza photo.

Seasonal and event ideas

Pizza sells around events. Game days, school holidays, movie nights and exam weeks all create demand. A flyer that says order before kickoff speaks to the moment, and a bundle that feeds a team or a class makes a group order easy. Sports leagues and schools often welcome a night where a portion of sales supports them.

Mistakes to avoid

Do not list every pizza on the menu. Pick the deal and the hero and send people to the full menu. Avoid vague terms such as great prices with no number. Keep the phone number large, because many pizza orders still start with a call.

Delivery and pickup details

Say clearly whether you deliver, how far, and what the minimum is. Mention pickup times and any wait you typically quote. If you take online orders, put the web address or a QR code beside the phone number. Customers decide fast, so remove every question that could stop them from ordering. State whether the deal applies to pickup, delivery or both, because that is the first thing people check.

Making it in Studio

Studio makes combo creatives with templates like Pick your combo and Price hero, which fit pizza deals well. Add your real prices and review the final design before printing.

FAQs

Frequently asked
questions

What should a pizza flyer include?
A clear deal with the price, phone number and ordering link, delivery area and hours, and a coupon with an end date.
What size is a pizza door hanger?
Many are around 4.25 by 11 inches, but check with your printer for the sizes they offer.
How do I track a pizza flyer?
Add a code or ask customers to show the flyer, then compare counts by neighborhood.
Should I use a stock photo of pizza?
No. Use a real photo of your own pizza so what guests receive matches what they saw.
