What moves the number

Delivery driver pay combines the hourly rate with tips, mileage or vehicle reimbursement, and the volume of orders in your area. Busy urban and suburban shops with high delivery demand can offer better tip income. Reliability, clean driving records, and strong customer service often earn more shifts.

Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS), May 2025. BLS figures for tipped roles may not capture all tip income. The BLS category is the closest official match for this role, not an exact one.
