Create your menu QR code

Paste a full link (starting with https://) to generate your code.

Print at least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 in) per side and keep white space around the code — cameras need the quiet zone. Always test-scan a printed copy before running a full print batch.

How to make a QR code menu

A QR code menu is just a QR code pointing at a web page — your menu PDF, your website's menu page, or better, your online ordering page, where guests can act on what they're reading. Paste the link above, download the PNG, and put it on tables, windows, receipts, and to-go bags.

Static vs. dynamic codes — and the expiry trap

The code this tool generates is static: the link is encoded directly in the pattern, it never expires, and no third party sits between your guest and your menu. Many “free” QR services generate dynamic codes that route through their servers — then the free trial ends and every printed code on every table dies. If you want to change where a static code points later, encode a URL you control (like yourrestaurant.com/menu) and redirect that page as needed.

Print checklist

  • Size: minimum 2 × 2 cm; bigger for wall posters guests scan from a distance.
  • Contrast: dark code on a light background — never invert.
  • Quiet zone: leave white space around the code; don't crowd it with art.
  • Test: scan the printed version with both iPhone and Android before a full run.
  • Destination: make sure the page loads fast on mobile — the scan is the easy part.

The QR code gets guests to the menu; what happens next is the revenue moment. A menu page that can take the order — pickup, delivery, or dine-in QR ordering — turns the same scan into a ticket instead of a look.

FAQs

Frequently asked
questions

Is this QR code menu generator really free?
Yes — free, no signup, no watermark. The code is static, so it keeps working forever; there's no trial that expires and kills your printed codes.
Will the QR code expire?
No. This tool generates static QR codes: the link is encoded directly in the image and works as long as the page it points to exists. No third-party redirect is involved.
Can I change the menu after printing the code?
If the code points to a page you control, yes — update the page or redirect it. The code itself encodes the URL, so pick a stable link (like yourrestaurant.com/menu) rather than a deep link that might change.
What size should a QR code be on a table tent?
At least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 inch), with white space around it. For posters or window decals scanned from farther away, scale up — a rough rule is scan distance divided by 10.
